Mastermind Youth Foundation will be hosting a Family Fun Fair in support of youth programs, located in parking lot 13 and on the soccer field. It will feature a wide variety of activities for all ages, including laser tag, mini putt, a dunk tank, crafts, roller skating, a vendor market, and much more.
...and so much more!!!
Our very popular tournament started in Fergus, Ontario and has grown unbelievably. This year we are expanding to include a tournament in Sarnia!! This Sarnia event is a fundraiser hosted jointly by the Centre Wellington Celtics basketball club, Mastermind Youth Foundation and Team Addy.
Team Addy is a not-for-profit fundraising charity that raises money that goes to fight childhood cancer.
Now in its 4th year, the Team Addy 3x3 tournament and the Team Addy charity has raised over $550,000, and has grown to Canada's biggest 3x3 tournament. All money goes directly to SickKids hospital in support of Angiosarcoma research.
Our tournament is known for its organization, and attention to detail. We will have over 150 teams all competing on one venue.
______
SCHEDULE
Our scheduling follows the FIBA 3x3 tournament scheduling format where teams are divided into pools within their division. Teams will play within their pool and then all the teams will be ranked and then participate in a lose and you're out "March Madness" style bracket. The only exception for the "lose and you're out" rule is in the semi-finals. The losers of the semis will play for the bronze.
Each team is guaranteed 4 games.
______
RULES
Team Addy 3x3 strictly follows the FIBA / Olympic 3x3 rules.
______
GAME LENGTH
The games are 10 minute run time, or first team to score 21.
The last minute of the game will be stop time if the score is within 4 points.
______
BALL SIZE
We will use the official 3x3 game ball for all divisions U12 and up. This ball is a size 6 (weight 7) blue and yellow ball. U10 and U11 will use a traditional size 5 ball.
